Staff Pick: Elizabeth Onusko

September 28, 2009

beth_onusko-small.jpgThe Orphee Suite for Piano—composed by Philip Glass and performed by pianist Paul Barnes—is the perfect CD for a fall evening. My favorite piece, the “Trilogy Sonata,” is like a series of locks in a canal, its rhythms alternately rising and pressing forward. I have never been so spellbound by a classical composition.
