Kristen Martin is currently pursuing an MFA in nonfiction writing at Columbia University, where she is at work on a collection of essays on her parents’ lives and deaths, and where she teaches University Writing. Her personal essays have been published in The Toast, Saveur, The Pennsylvania Gazette, Cleaver Magazine, and elsewhere.
