Madeleine Marie Slavick is an American author and photographer whose work is notable for crossing cultural barriers. She has authored several books of poetry, prose, and nonfiction, including Something Beautiful Might Happen, China Voices, delicate access, Round: Poems and Photographs of Asia, and Fifty Stories Fifty Images, a book on her twenty-five years in Hong Kong. As a photographer, she has exhibited internationally.
