Holder Jr. is expected to announce on Monday afternoon that Mr. Mohammed, the self-described [after being waterboarded 183 times] mastermind of the attacks, and four other accused conspirators will face charges before a panel of military officers, a law enforcement official said. [NORAD took orders from Osama bin Laden? Because NORAD was given the command to *stand down* on 9/11. So either 9/11 was an inside job (“duh”) or NORAD took orders from Osama bin Laden. April 4, 2011—In a political setback for President Barack Obama, the United States will try self-professed September 11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four co-conspirators in a military commission at Guantanamo Bay and not in New York Civil Court as Obama had hoped. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder [announced] the decision at 2 p.m. (19:00 GMT) on Monday, U.S. officials said, an embarrassing reversal of the administration’s decision in November 2009 to try Mohammed in a court near the site of the World Trade Center attack that killed nearly 3,000 people.

April 4, 2011—Workers began pumping more than 3 million gallons of contaminated water from Japan’s tsunami-ravaged nuclear plant into the Pacific Ocean on Monday, freeing storage space for even more highly radioactive water that has hampered efforts to stabilize the reactors. It will take about two days to pump most of the “less”-radioactive water out of the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear complex, whose cooling systems were knocked out by the magnitude-9.0 earthquake and tsunami on March 11.
U.S. May Build Five New Nuclear Reactors by 2020, New Energy Finance Says

April 4, 2011—The U.S. will build five new nuclear reactors by 2020 and ignore calls to scale back plans in the wake of Japan’s nuclear accident, said Chris Gadomski, an analyst at Bloomberg New Energy Finance. “We’ll see a reassessment and reevaluation and then stay the course,” Gadomski said today at a conference in New York today. Plans to build the five reactors are already underway, he said, and “We don’t see that changing.”
