Guernica proudly congratulates one of our own, photographer Jesse Chehak, whose new exhibit, WESTERN VIEWS, a selection of landscapes from his ongoing series FOOLS GOLD, opened last week at Ben Silverstein / 20. The show runs through early October. If you’re in New York, it’s a must-see. For more information, go here.

Jesse was our very first art and photography editor, and set the bar high. He left us for more western views, now living in Santa Fe, but some of his earlier work, from AMERICAN IMAGES, appeared in Guernica in May, 2005. It’s terrific stuff; check it out here.

At Guernica, we’ve spent the last 15 years producing uncompromising journalism.

More than 80% of our finances come from readers like you. And we’re constantly working to produce a magazine that deserves you—a magazine that is a platform for ideas fostering justice, equality, and civic action.

If you value Guernica’s role in this era of obfuscation, please donate.

Help us stay in the fight by giving here.
