Alexia Underwood is an Oakland-based journalist and writer. She's currently a senior producer with Al Jazeera's all-digital channel, AJ+. Her writing has appeared in the Atlantic's CityLab, Bloomberg Businessweek, the Los Angeles Review of Books and other publications.
