Ari Braverman

Ari Braverman writes fiction in Harlem, New York. She hails from Denver and Iowa City by way of New Orleans, where she lived for six years before moving up North. Her favorite themes include shame, gender, and geography--especially when they're tackled all at the same time. A recipient of the 2012 James Knudsen Prize in Fiction from the University of the New Orleans, she was also awarded a 2015 De Alba Fellowship from Columbia University. Her other interviews can be found online at Antenna's Room 220 and Electric Literature. She has a story forthcoming in the newest issue of Tammy.
