Jordan A. Rothacker

Jordan A. Rothacker is an essayist, novelist, and poet based in Athens, Georgia, where he received a master’s degree in religion and a doctor of philosophy in comparative literature from the University of Georgia. His bachelor’s degree was in philosophy from Manhattanville College, and he has split his life and time between New York and Georgia. Rothacker’s dissertation, On Cultural Guerrilla Warfare: The Artist and Activism, focused on three case studies of artists in relation to their respective states (Pussy Riot in Russia, Ai Weiwei in China, and William T. Vollmann in the US). His books include the novella The Pit, and No Other Stories (Black Hill Press/1888, 2015), the novel And Wind Will Wash Away (Deeds, 2016), and the forthcoming work of extreme hybridity My Shadow Book by Maawaam (Spaceboy Books, October 2017).
