Maya Doig-Acuña is a Brooklyn-raised, New York based writer. She has been published in Harlem Focus, Latino Rebels, Duende Literary Journal, and Remezcla. She has also received support from Bread Loaf School of English and Tin House Workshop. She is now a first-year doctoral student at Harvard University, researching and writing about Afro-Panamanian migration, memory, and Black diaspora.
