Sandy Allen is the author of A Kind of Mirraculas Paradise: A True Story about Schizophrenia (Scribner). They also host a new podcast called Mad Chat, which unpacks what our pop culture is telling us about madness and mental health. Sandy's essays and features have appeared in Gay Magazine, them., Lit Hub, Bon Appétit's Healthyish, and Pop-Up Magazine, among other publications, and in BuzzFeed News, where Sandy previously edited features. Sandy also co-founded the online-only literary quarterly Wag's Revue. They live in the Catskills.
