Amital Stern writes for theater, film, and more in Jerusalem. She was born and raised in small cities across North America. She has a master’s in comparative literature from Hebrew University and studied screenwriting at the Sam Spiegel Film & Television School. Her play Hunger Artist was performed at the Theatronetto festival, the Jerusalem Fringe Festival, the Arab-Hebrew Theater in Jaffa, and other venues. Her play In Waiting was winner of the Fred Simmons Arts Prize. Aliza, a site-specific theater production she co-wrote, is now haunting abandoned buildings in Jerusalem. She is working on her first novel.
